Not a huge amount to talk about here. Pretty bog standard Mexican Strat – decent sunburst finish, nicely played in rosewood board. Couple of dings n scrapes, including one fairly big chip that we filled with nail varnish and buffed out. Did a straight swap with it for a 1985 Japanese Modern Strat.

Got hold of this immaculate 50s modern player Strat at a good price. It’d never be touched, still had all the Fender case candy and the gig bag still had the Fender tag on the carry handle. Nice enough guitar, sounded like a Strat, played like any other Strat… Didn’t keep it long.

Can’t stand Rickenbackers. Why anyone would want to play a toilet seat is beyond me. Having said that, this guitar cleaned up and played surprisingly well. From what I could find, on the internet, facebook groups and current Encore distributors JHS this was made in Japan in either the late 1970s or early 1980s.
