Matthews FX Astronomer Reverb

Really rate the Matthews FX Astronomer, it’s a unique take on an over saturated style of guitar fx pedal.

Essentially it’s actually two reverb pedals in one, both have 3 selectable algorithms and their own bank of three dials.

In laymans terms – you can run the same reverb with different settings and switch between them, or have two completely different reverbs at your disposal.

My only gripe about this pedal is that it really doesn’t like any kind of boosted signal being fed into it – it overloads and clips quite nastily. I wouldn’t particularly deem this a flaw, as the pedal works fantastically with a normal signal level.

The three reverbs all offer beautiful unique trails and I’ve spent many hours lost in a sea of washed out chords.
