Cordoba Stage Amber Nylon

The Cordoba Stage is a lovely thin bodied nylon electro guitar. I have a lot to thank it for, as it was the guitar that got me playing regularly again after a decade of not picking a guitar up.

Aesthetically, especially for the £600 ish price, it’s a stunning instrument. Really beautiful flame top and the amber stain is lush.

I played it a whole lot for a year after getting it. As my ear and technique came back, I noticed the intonation was out the further up the neck I went.

Playing past the 12th fret became irritating as I could hear how out it was, so that’s how it moved on to another owner. It wasn’t horrendous, but enough to not want to play it.

The new Abasi 7 string version of this model looks really nice and worth a try at some point.
