Meris Enzo

Watched so many YouTube videos before finally taking the plunge with the Meris Enzo and it was a mixed bag, which ultimately ended up quite disappointing.

The sounds are decent enough, but it has a couple of major design flaws that really let it down:

1. The Mix Dial

The blend of this mix dial is simply awful. It goes from dry to so wet you can’t hear the dry signal in the first 10% of the turn. The wet signal, particularly the synth sound, is so loud that it dominates the entire sound. In short, the first bit of the dial goes from dry to wet in no time, rendering 90% of the dial useless.

2. Alt Function Dials

I’m not against a dial having two functions, but when the whole device has two functions…and the company only print the primary functions on the graphics…hours wasted of for fucks sake what does that one do again.. yawn. For guitarists who spend more time fiddling than actually playing.

That being said, what this essentially does is give a very basic delay, octave (the in between pitches are not great), and some modulation, wrapped up with a synth, in a box full of two function dials.

Don’t believe the hype folks, it’s a really ordinary sounding pedal that’s incredibly unfriendly to operate.
